Sue Rider

I have been changing the diplays again at work. This is my favorite thing to do. Last week working at Sue Rider I left my camera in the draw so I have a double lot of entries to do today with diffeerent displays. Every day  I work there I love it more and more, some of the stuff we have donated really interests me. I find it so enjoyable to composition all thease lovely bits and bobs.

I loved that suitcase display so much I ended up stretching my overdraft even further to purchase. I think it will be a great prop for future displays of my own work.

More Embroidery

Just whipng up a few more small embroiderys to sell in may. I hope they go, my favorite is the; Death Before Decaf, this is the mantra i live by!

Crafting

Recently i have been Getting my Embroidery fingers at the ready, at the charity shop we are working towards having an upcycle sale day. Myself and some other crafters are goin to be making some items to sell using old bedsheets, bric-a-brac and rags. I have decided to make small embroideries in embroidery ring/frames, also making some pillowcases and some cakestands. i will be poping my images on here to track my progress in preparation for the sale day in may.

Today at the shop I changed some displays and manequins, going for a retro holiday inspired display, inspired by the recent recieving of some great tea towels!, also brights! its been lovely for the time of year at the moment so myself and selena (assistant manager) gave the dislays a bit more brightness.

Charity Shop

A few weeks ago i started volenteering at Sue Rider Care Charity Shop. I have really started to settle in and am enjoying all apects of the work, especially the vintage/retro area, with the window dressing and manequins. I have just managed to replace my digital camera so now i can start documenting.
